Through Their Eyes

Campaign done for JCOM 350 Creative Strategist intended to raise awareness about climate change, specifically for parents and young kids.

We wanted to raise awareness for climate change and get new parents to take action by reminding them the beautiful parts of nature them and their children love and want to protect.

With me working part time at a daycare, we were able to enlist their help to make our vision come to life.

We hosted a drawing competition for students K-5 to draw what they love about nature. The winner was featured as the posters for the campaign, and all drawings were included in a gallery on the website.

Not only did we want to understand our audience, but we wanted to include them. We chose to put a large emphasis on the kids and the real change parents can make for their futures to foster an emotional connection to the program and the hope we bring.

Our goal was to make climate change action feel accessible. We included resources on the website to learn, talk about, and act on climate change. The resources included emphasis on cost-friendly small things that families can do, cause we understand life gets crazy and helping climate change may feel like an impossible task.
